What's New in Siebel Consumer Sector Guide, Version 7.7

Enhanced Gantt chart with navigational controls

The Gantt chart now provides basic navigational capabilities with applet controls and tooltips.

Ability to create an account promotion without a pick drop-down menu

This new feature improves account promotion creation by reducing significantly the number of steps needed to create an account promotion record. In addition, you can now give an account promotion a name independent of the corporate promotion.

Enhanced back office integration of deductions

See Adding and Editing Deductions.

The Status of Deduction records now includes a value of Resolved along with the ability to manually change the status through a drop-down menu.

Ability to void and cancel payments

See Ability to Void and Cancel Payments.

This new feature provides the Key account manager the ability to void and cancel payments.

Ability to create payment with less steps

See To request payments by the account checkbook.

With this new feature, the number of steps required to enter an amount while creating a payment has been reduced.

Streamlined data entry for the promotion planning process

See Associating Baseline and Shipment Data with Promoted Products.

The promotion planning process has been simplified, to increase productivity and decrease complexity.

Ability to compare promotion simulation scenarios

See Simulating Promotions for Promoted Products and Categories.

Simulation results are now saved as they are performed. This enhancement allows for the comparison of multiple promotion scenarios.

Account Promotion Profile

The Account Promotion Profile functionality is no longer available in the product.

Plan or Promotion status state model

 

The Status State model has been retained in the product. However the value Preseted is now displayed to the user as Accepted. The value Cancel remains the same.

 

Merchandising Audit

This new feature allows representatives to record the status of a specific merchandising location at a point of time.

 

Enhanced Visit Scheduling and Visit Execution capabilities

The Retail Execution End-User processes have been improved for more simplified and effective Visit Scheduling and Visit Execution processes.
