Turning Off Case Sensitivity


By default, Siebel Wireless applications are set to be case-sensitive for searches. You can make Siebel Wireless applications case-insensitive when performing searches by making the following changes.

To turn off case sensitivity

  1. Edit the ServerDataSrc section of the appropriate Siebel Wireless server configuration files as follows:
  2. [ServerDataSrc]

    CaseInsensitive = TRUE

  3. Log into a Web Client application with administration capabilities as the systems administrator.
  4. Navigate to Site Map > Server Administration > Enterprise Configuration, then from the Enterprise Component Groups list, select Siebel Financial Services component group.
  5. Click the Enterprise Component Groups tab, and select the wireless application name for which you wish to modify case sensitivity, then click the Enterprise Profile Configuration tab.
  6. The upper list changes to Component Profiles.

  7. In the Component Profiles list, in the Named Subsystem Alias column, select ServerDataSrc.
  8. In the Enterprise Profile Configuration list, select DSCaseInsensitiveFlg from the Parameter Alias column.
  9. In the Value column, enter TRUE.
  10. Use capital letters, no quotes.

  11. Step off of the record to save it.
  12. Restart the Siebel server and the Web server.
