Specifying Application Properties

You can change the following properties of an application:

General Application Properties

To set the general application properties of an application:

  1. Select the application in the left panel

  2. Click Props on the Configuration Toolbar

    Or

    Choose Edit->Properties on the main window.

  3. Fill the fields to modify the application properties.

    The following table describes the fields on the General Application Properties window.

    Field Description

    Application Name

    Name of the specified application. The corresponding BEA TUXEDO parameter is DOMAINID.

    IPC Key

    IPC Key for the well known address of the BEA TUXEDO bulletin board. This number must be unique among all BEA TUXEDO applications. The corresponding BEA TUXEDO parameter is IPCKEY.

    Master Machine

    Use the drop-down menu to specify the name of the master machine. For more information on the Master Machine field, see Specifying Settings on the Expert. The corresponding BEA TUXEDO parameter is MASTER.

    System Access

    Use the drop down menu to select either FASTPATH or PROTECTED mode of system access. These specify the access mode to the BEA TUXEDO bulletin board. The corresponding BEA TUXEDO parameter is SYSTEM_ACCESS.

    Maximum Number of Services

    Size of the services table in the BEA TUXEDO bulletin board. The corresponding BEA TUXEDO parameter is MAXSERVICES.

  4. When you have filled in the fields, click OK to save your changes and close the window.

Environment Application Properties

To set the Environment application properties of an application:

  1. Select the application in the left panel

  2. Click Props on the Configuration Toolbar

    Or

    Choose Edit->Properties on the main window.

  3. Fill the fields to modify the application properties.

    Note: If the "local machine is the master machine" parameter is set, the local machine is added automatically to the application when you create a new application. You are prompted for Machine Properties. The default value for the application directory is the location of the application you have chosen in the Create New Configuration window. See Objects Settings for more information on master machines.

    The following table describes the fields on the Environment Application Properties window.

    Field Description

    Available Servers File

    Location where the iservers.lst resides. This is a list of the available servers and is changed whenever the Create button is used to add new servers.

    Generated Servers File

    Location where the gservers.lst resides. This is a list of servers generated by the C++ or Rose Expert. This list is updated each time a new configuration file generation is triggered.

    Output Directory

    Directory where the output files are generated.

  4. When you have filled in the fields, click OK to save your changes and close the window.
