The WebLogic Personalization Examples provide
simple and practical use cases that demonstrate the considerable
collection of personalization capabilities contained in this
product. The examples are part of a working Web application
that you will run in a browser. They are intended as source-level
examples to help guide J2EE (and particularly, JSP) developers
as they bring the full power of WebLogic Personalization to
their production applications.
Within each example, a link to the related
JSP source code is provided. You are encouraged to view this
source, so that a complete understanding of how to exploit
the power of Personalization might be attained. While not
intended to act as an integrated Personalization application,
the Examples do perpetuate a common theme from one to the
next -- the Music Fan theme. This theme was chosen to demonstrate
how an application might exploit Personalization within a
focused domain -- tying together Content Management, Rules,
User Management, and WebFlow for a particular purpose. It
was chosen for fun, too.

To access the examples, the server must be running.
If you used the startPortal.bat or startPortal.sh script to
start the server, point your browser to:
