    System I/O Board upgrades are always annotated with Planned - System Management - Configuration Management.

    The Planned - System Hardware cause code category contains codes for CPU System Boards, I/O Boards, andSystem I/O Boards. Use the following three cause codes for maintenance tasks on the board according to the following rules:

    1. If a CPU is on or can be inserted onto the board, use Planned - System Hardware - CPU System Board (even if the board also contains SBus, PCI, or cPCI).
    2. If the board contains only SBus, PCI, or cPCI slots, use Planned - System Hardware - System I/O Board Upgrade/Maint.
    3. All maintenance events concerning SBus, PCI, or cPCI cards are assigned to Planned - System Hardware - I/O Board Upgrade/Maint.
