Downgrading to a Previous Release Using the backto Command

The Sun QFS and SAM-QFS upgrade process moves certain files to new locations. If you want to revert to a previous release, use the backto command to restore the files back to their previous locations and format. The following example shows how to revert back from SAM-QFS 5.3 to SAM-QFS 5.2.

# /opt/SUNWsamfs/sbin/backto 5.2

Note - Run the backto command before you remove the current release package.

For more information about the backto command, see backto(1M) in Sun QFS and Sun Storage Archive Manager 5.3 Reference Manual.
