The memory riser population rules for the server are as follows:
Each memory riser slot in the server chassis must be filled with either a memory riser or memory riser filler panel, arranged as illustrated in Memory Riser FRU Names.
Each memory riser must be filled with DIMMs and/or DIMM filler panels, in one of the configurations described in Supported Memory Configurations.
All DIMMs installed in each memory riser must be identical (identical capacity, identical rank classification).
Note - Misconfigured memory risers, such as DIMMs of mixed capacities and/or rank classifications installed on the same memory riser, might result in boot failure. See DIMM Configuration Error Messages.
