Targeting assets are managed in the ATG Content Administration system as file assets with .properties extensions. By default, the assets are stored in the following location:
<ATG9dir>\home\Publishing\versionFileStore\PublishingFiles
where <ATG9dir> refers to the ATG 9.3 installation directory, for example C:\ATG\ATG9.3.
Within the ATG Business Control Center, assets are tracked through a path in the ATG registry, which is an internal directory structure that allows ATG modules to access items created within other modules. By default, targeting assets have the following path in the registry:
User segments and content groups:
/atg/registry/RepositoryGroupsTargeters:
/atg/registry/RepositoryTargeters
The last part of the path, RepositoryGroups and RepositoryTargeters, is a folder in the registry. In some cases you may want to use a folder that is different from the default. The next section describes how to specify a different folder.
Note: You can only select folders that exist below the root, which the is the default folder.
