The preinstalled OS is ready to be configured at the appropriate point when you first apply power to the server module.
Mandatory package updates might not be preinstalled. Ensure that you obtain and install all mandatory updates before you put the server module into production. See Mandatory Oracle Solaris 11 OS Package Updates.
Refer to the Oracle Solaris documentation for instructions on installing and configuring the Oracle Solaris OS.
You can reinstall the OS, along with mandatory package updates or patches, instead of using the preinstalled OS. See Minimum Supported Versions of the Firmware, OS, and Software.
