The request is passed to TailPipelineServlet when the DAF servlet pipeline has completed processing. TailPipelineServlet calls FilterChain.doFilter() on PageFilter to create FilterChain object, which invokes the servlet filter identified in web.xml. When no other filters are found, as is with the default DAF servlet pipeline provided with Oracle ATG Web Commerce Adaptive Scenario Engine, PageFilter passes the Oracle ATG Web Commerce request and response back to the application server.
