The Promotion Summary Analysis provides information about the usage of individual promotional programs and the effect of those promotions on sales and revenue

The components of the analysis are explained in the following table.

Promotion

The name assigned to the promotion

Uses

The number of times the promotion was used in purchase transactions

7 Day Var (for Uses)

The percentage change between the number of times the promotion was used during the week before the period ending date and the number of times the week before that

Discounts

The currency value of the discounts that were applied as a part of the promotion

7 Day Var (for Revenue)

The percentage change between the value of the discounts applied as a part of the promotion during the week before the period ending date and the value of the discounts the week before that

Revenue

The currency value of the sales attributed to the promotion. See Revenue Attributed to Promotions.

7 Day Var (for Revenue)

The percentage change between the value of the sales attributed to the promotion during the week before the period ending date and the value of the sales the week before that. See Revenue Attributed to Promotions.
