How to Configure the Hardware Management Agent Logging Level

  1. Find the hwmgmtd.conf file and open it for editing.

    The file is located:

    /etc/ssm/hwmgmtd.conf

  2. Find the hwagentd_log_levels parameter and change the logging level to one of the options from the tables above.
  3. Save the modified hwmgmtd.conf file.
  4. Disable and re-enable the Hardware Management Agent, which forces the hwmgmtd.conf to be reread. Enter the following commands:

    svcadm disable svc:/system/sp/management:default

    svcadm enable svc:/system/sp/management:default

The Hardware Management Agent rereads the hwmgmtd.conf file with the modified hwagentd_log_levels parameter.
