You can reset the configuration properties of an SMF naming service back to the files only mode as follows:
# /usr/sbin/nscfg unconfig FMRI # svcadm refresh name-service/switch
For example, you would revert the changes that were made to the SMF configuration in Importing Naming Services Configuration as follows:
# svcadm disable dns/client # /usr/sbin/nscfg unconfig dns/client # /usr/sbin/nscfg unconfig name-service/switch # svcadm refresh name-service/switch # svcadm refresh name-service/cache
