Configuration Tab Yieldability
The Yieldability Configuration Tab allows user to configure which Rate Codes are Yieldable and Non-Yieldable for the property. All rate codes that are shown are displayed the way that they were configured in OPERA. Therefore, if a rate code was not previously setup as "Yieldable" in OPERA, all of these rates will be seen on the Non Yieldable Rate Codes pane and the user can manually move it to the Yieldable Rate Codes pane.
Note: Any rate codes not marked as Yieldable are under the Properties' discretion for Availability controls.
Non Yieldable Rate Codes are rate codes that will not be compared against the hurdle recommendation in the sell process.
For example, if a rate code has a contractual obligation for last room availability or guaranteed pricing, then these rate codes should not be marked as yieldable.
In another example, employee or house use rate codes should also be marked as non yieldable as the availability is generally based on manager discretion.
Yieldable Rate Codes are rate codes that will be compared against the hurdle recommendation in the sell process.
Apply Yieldable Rates. Select this button after you have moved or removed rate codes to or from the Non Yieldable and Yieldable rate code configuration tables. Selecting this button applies the Non Yieldable or Yieldable rate code changes you made.
