Restore the SP Network Properties

SP network connectivity is required in order to continue the firmware upgrade process. If your SP is configured with a static network connection (i.e., the ipdiscovery parameter is set to static), you must type in the network configuration properties before continuing.


Note -  This part of the upgrade can only be performed using a console connection to the serial management port.

Note -  If your SP network configuration is set to use DHCP, continue to Restore the SP Configuration.
  1. Log in to the service processor:

    Note -  You must have full user role privileges (i.e. aucro) for this step.

  2. Configure the SP network properties. Type:
    -> set /SP/network pendingipaddress=<XX.XX.XX.XX> pendingipgateway=<YY.YY.YY.YY> pendingipnetmask=<ZZ.ZZ.ZZ.ZZ> commitpending=true
    
    Set 'pendingipaddress' to 'XX.XX.XX.XX'
    Set 'pendingipgateway' to 'YY.YY.YY.YY'
    Set 'pendingipnetmask' to 'ZZ.ZZ.ZZ.ZZ'
    Set 'commitpending' to 'true'

  3. Load the second system firmware image.
