When the fan on a power supply fails, fault messages are repeatedly generated and cleared until you replace the power supply.
On the Oracle Solaris console, the repeated messages are similar to this:
Nov 4 09:58:41 system-name SC Alert: [ID 821027 daemon.alert] Fault critical: Fault detected at time = Tue Nov 4 14:01:16 2014. The suspect component: /SYS/PS0 has fault.chassis.device.psu.fail with probability=100.
In the Oracle ILOM event log, the multiple entries are similar to this:
53 Tue Nov 4 14:01:16 2014 Fault Fault critical
Fault detected at time = Tue Nov 4 14:01:16 2014. The suspect
component: /SYS/PS0 has fault.chassis.device.psu.fail with
probability=100.

346 Tue Nov 4 14:01:00 2014 Sensor Log minor

Workaround: The messages will stop repeating when you replace the failing power supply.
