Restore the SP Configuration

Restoring the SP configuration you previously backed up might take three minutes or longer, depending on the amount of platform-specific data.


Note -  You cannot use Oracle Enterprise Ops Center for this portion of the upgrade procedure.
  1. Log in to the SP. Type:

    Note -  You must have full user role privileges (i.e. aucro) to perform this task.
    ORACLESP-<XXXXXXXX> login: root
    Password:

  2. Set the passphrase for restoring the SP configuration information.

    Use the passphrase you noted earlier. Type:

    -> set /SP/config passphrase=<XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX>
    Set 'passphrase' to 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX'
    
    -> 
  3. Restore the backed up SP configuration. Type:
    -> set /SP/config load_uri=scp://<username>@<ip_address_or_hostname>/backup_XXXXXXXX.xml
    Enter remote user password: *********
    Dump successful.
    ->

    Note -  If you are restoring the SP configuration from a local serial port connection, the screen output includes the following:
    set: Load partially successful, please view the event log

    The /SP/logs/event/list log includes the following line:

    Config restore: Unable to restore property '/SP/serial/external/commitpending' 
    (Can not change serial settings - the serial console is in use.)
  4. Load the Oracle Solaris fallback image.
