The InfiniBand network is internal to the Oracle PCA. You should not create additional connections to this network.
InfiniBand interfaces are the default channel of communication among compute nodes and storage server heads. If you are connecting the Oracle PCA to existing or additional storage machines on the same InfiniBand fabric, the interface enables communication between the Oracle PCA and the storage machines.
Table A.3 lists the default InfiniBand IP addresses assigned to compute nodes and other hardware components in your Oracle PCA.
Note that some IP addresses within this subnetwork are reserved for the addition of external InfiniBand storage appliances. These IP addresses are described in Section 7.3.1, “Connecting InfiniBand Storage Hardware” in the section Section 7.3, “Adding External InfiniBand Storage”.
