The following table lists and describes the high-level steps for installing the
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system.

Install your server hardware and configure the Oracle ILOM
service processor.

Review the Linux versions supported by the server.
|
|
3.

Obtain the RHEL installation media.
|
|
4.
|
Review the product notes.
|
|
5.
|
Set up the console, the RHEL media, and the installation
target that you plan to use to perform the installation.

6.
|
Set BIOS settings for new OS installations.
|
|
7.
|
Install the RHEL OS.
|
|
8.
|
Perform the post installation tasks.
|
|
9.
|
(Optional) Install the Oracle Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel
for Linux.
