Intel-Based Ethernet Adapters Using the i40e Driver Output Messages to Syslog When fwupdate is Run (26163087, 26194426, 26280974)

If the system has an Intel-based Ethernet network interface card that uses the i40e driver (for example the Oracle Quad 10 Gb or Dual 40 Gb Ethernet Adapter, or the Oracle Quad 10 Gb Ethernet Adapter), output notice messages are captured in syslog when the fwupdate command is run. This affects system running Oracle Solaris 11.3 SRU 21 and later. For example:

These messages are from the i40e driver and are benign. You can safely ignore these messages.
