IB switch chip reports incorrect link status

When attaching an Ethernet switch to the Ethernet overlay network ports of the leaf switch, in very rare cases, the link status as seen from the IB switch chip might contradict the link status as seen from the Ethernet switch. For example, the IB switch chip might report the link in a down state, while the Ethernet switch reports the link in an up state. This problem has not been observed to affect service.

Workaround: Reset the suspect port on the IB switch chip. Be aware that resetting the port might affect service to devices connected on the port.

At the Oracle Fabric OS command line, type:

[OFOS] set port port up gw -s 10g

where port is the suspect port number.
