When updating the firmware, be aware of these considerations and guidelines:
The Oracle ILOM load command is not supported for updating firmware from the SP.
Two methods exist for updating the firmware:
For updating firmware version 1.0.0.0, you will use the nm3tool utility, which runs on the SCP.
For updating firmware version 1.0.1.0, you will use the system upgrade command in the Oracle Fabric OS.
Upgrading the firmware causes the switch to power cycle, so schedule the firmware update during a service window.
