Remarks on program function

The data for connection of payment terminal type DK Point can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. The data which has already been stored can also be displayed.

The interface and link to a processing unit and device-specific operating mode of the EFT terminal should be set.

Payment terminals are required to handle payments made with magnetic cards. Other parametering is necessary to operate these devices, e.g. appropriate Payment type with link of the Credit card, etc..

Remarks on data fields

The following details all options available for update of the basic data.

The following applies to this program:

• The entry mask may differ in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program depending on the set-up of the user program. Some data fields may be missing.
• Some data fields may have defaults or defined selection options so that they cannot be updated in this program.
• The entry mask may contain fields with enforced entries, and in other fields entries may be optional.
• If the data record is updated over several pages of entry masks the dialog window is reached by clicking on the appropriate button with <Mouse key 1>.
• The procedure is the same if you want to call up another update program from this program.
• In some cases you may find the so-called. "Switches" which are either activated or deactivated - depending on the setting - by clicking with <Mouse key 1>. Activated switches have a dark top, deactivated switches are lighter.

Debug

Field with firmly defined selection options

Select one of the offered debug levels by clicking on this field and with a second click confirming the selection.

The system offers the following:

• 0 = no protocol of the data communication in file "errlog"
• 1 =
• 2 = display of all communication data in file "errlog"

NOTE:
Only select a value higher than "0" for the debug level if a protocol for communication of the payment terminal is required for error analysis. The details are provided in file "errlog" in directory work of the appropriate system unit.

Usage

Default = 1

Enter the number of the terminal. The entry should match the entry in the corresponding payment type, i.e. the payment terminal with the same no. entered in program Payment type will be selected.

NOTE.
Please note that form no. 3 must be entered in program Parameter -> Payment -> Paymenttype -> Payment parameter for the linked payment type.

Currency

Field with firmly defined selection options

Select one of the offered currencies by clicking on this field and with a second click confirming the selection.

The system offers the following currencies:

• DKK = Danish Krone
• EUR = Euro

Decimal Digits

Entry range permitted: numeric 0 - 9

Default = 2

End of Day Necessary

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 20 pos.

A text can be entered in this field as a message from the device.

EFT Type

Entry range permitted: numeric 0 - 99999

Default = 3

---

Confirm Amount

Switch active: The amount must be confirmed by the customer.
Switch deactivated: No confirmation of amount necessary.

Without PIN

Switch active: The PIN does not need to be entered by the customer.
Switch deactivated: The PIN must be entered by the customer.

Immediate printing

Switch active: A voucher is printed.
Switch deactivated: No voucher print
