Remarks on the Program Function

By use of this program you can define the components of a recipe and their quantities. You can create new recipe lines, change or delete the existing ones. You can also display the data on the screen for enquiry only.

Remarks on the Input Fields

This paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating these Basic Data.

Just like in almost any other program:


Item

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 14 digits

Enter the number of the item which is a component of the recipe. If you do not know the number, you can also select the data record via the Search Function.


Subrecipe

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the recipe if it is to be used as a sub-recipe of the recipe being defined. Components of a recipe can only be items or sub-recipes.


Descriptor

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max 32 characters

The description of the item entered will be displayed here.


Quantity

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 11 digits including max. 3 decimal places

Enter the quantity of the item used in the recipe. The unit of the item is retrieved from its stock and sales data and displayed on the screen by the system.


Unit

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max 4 characters

In this field, the basic unit of the item retrieved from its stock and sales data is displayed.


Cost

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 11 digits including max. 3 decimal places

In this field, the cost of the item is shown. The cost is calculated from the quantity entered and the purchase price stored in the system.

In order to calculate the cost, goods have to be received in the system for the item so that the necessary data for calculation is available.


% Waste

Entry range permitted: decimal, max.11 digits with max. 3 decimal places

Enter the percentage for waste.

The percentage is added to the quantity sold and is taken into consideration for sales, recipe costing and for production in the linked store.

Example:
Quantity sold = 0,125 kg
Waste  = 10 %
Deduction qty.per sale = quantity sold 0,125 + wate (=10%) 0,0125 = 0,1375 kg.

Note:
The entry made here has priority over the details about "%Waste" in program Item -> Stock.


Waste value

Entry range permitted: decimal, max.11 digits with max. 3 decimal places

The waste value is shown in this field.
