MICROS Retail OSCAR POS allows the time worked by employees to be recorded and this data is then provided as an ASCII file to allow MICROS WFM (Workforce Management) to plan staff allocation.
Working times are recorded at the checkout via the key event <WMn> (n = employee no.).
The following times can be recorded:
· Work begin
· Work end
· Absent
· Break
· Change of dept.
MICROS Retail OSCAR POS uses the collected data to calculate the time worked by the employee and the turnover data per time period.
The data can be exported to any directory with the following reports in program Application -> MICROS WFM -> Status Export to WM:
· Repeat comes WFM
The names of the export files and the name of the export directory can be defined in program Application -> MICROS WFM -> Parameter WFM.
Export of data is recorded in program Application -> MICROS WFM -> Status Export to WFM.
The start time of the operator is entered at the terminal with an employee no. and key <WM>.
The following functions are offered for time recording:
· 0 =operator comes
· 1 = operator goes
· 2 = absent
· 3 = break
· 4 = change of dept.
This data is exported with report "Operator comes/goes to WFM" or "Repeat comes WFM" in program Application -> MICROS WFM -> Status Export to WFM to file NameJJJJMMTTSSMMSS".

The following applies to export of turnover data per period in MICROS Retail OSCAR POS:
· The number of an employed operator must be entered in Application -> Organisation -> Terminals -> Details 1, field Operator WFM to ensure that the time recorded with key event <WMn> (n = employee no.) can be carried out for operators who are not signed on.
· Periods must be programmed under Application -> Company -> Time periods 1.
· The option "Day" must be set in program Parameters-> Misc.params. -> Statistic parameter for statistics " TimeTurnProC"
· The option "Period statistic“ must be set for all items for which turnover data is to be recorded in the statistics. This can be programmed under Application -> MICROS WFM -> Parameter WFM with report "Set item period st.".
The data is exported together with report "Turnover in time period to WFM" to file "NameJJJJMMTTSSMMSS" in program Application -> MICROS WFM -> Status Export to WFM.

The following applies to export of turnover data per period in MICROS Retail OSCAR POS:
· Periods must be programmed under Application -> Company -> Time periods 2.
· The option "Day" must be set in program Parameters-> Misc.params. -> Statistic parameter for statistics " Time2TurnProC"
·
Please ensure to configure consecutive numbers
for the intervals of the Time
periods 2 and all time periods must bet he same for
each interval. Only minutes of 15, 30, 45 or 60 are allowed. Mixed time values
are not allowed and results in no export.
If an error occurs a file with the extension of .asc (Filename.asc) will be
stored in the export folder. This file is only used for error analyses and
cannot be used for the data import.
The data is exported with report "Time period values to WFM" to file "Filename" in program Application -> MICROS WFM -> Status Export to WFM. The name of the export file must be entered in program Application -> MICROS WFM -> Status Export to WFM in field "Filename values in time period 2".
