MICROS Retail OSCAR POS Macros

With the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application, you can integrate macros into a report chain to automate particular workflows.

With a macro you can e.g. open the update mask of a particular program, position the cursor in a particular field, preset particular values in particular fields or call up other macros when a field or an update mask is entered or left.

Attention!
The execution of macros requires that a Report Chain has been created in the update program System -> User Interface -> Applications and that the option Workflow has been activated for this report chain.

The configuration of macro report chains is to be carried out as follows:

• Create an application of the type Chaining Report
  Update program System -> User Interface -> Applications. Make sure that the option Workflow is activated for this report chain.
• Integrate the macros in a report chain
  Update program  System -> User Interface -> Workflow -> Workflow Position.
• Define the macros
  Update program System -> User Interface -> Workflow -> Macro.
• Define the macro actions for a macro
  Update program System -> User Interface -> Workflow -> Macro -> Macro Actions.
