Remarks on the Program Function
With this program, you can update the data for report chains for the execution of MICROS Retail OSCAR POS macros, i.e. create a new data record, modify or delete existing data. The data already stored can be displayed for information purposes.
The update of report chains for the execution of MICROS Retail OSCAR POS macros has to be carried out as follows:
- Create a new data record of the report chain type with the program System -> Surface -> Application.
- Activate the option Workflow in this program.
- Create the macros in the update program System -> Surface -> Workflow -> Workflow Position.
- Define appropriate macro actions in the update program System -> Surface -> Workflow -> Macro -> MacroActions.
- Then test the report chain by activating the switch "interaktive" and starting the report chain via the button "Start".
- Deactivate the switch "interaktive".
- Then embed this report chain in a menu by use of
the update program System ->
Surface -> Menu Items.
Please note that the name in the field Menü Name must be the same as the name of the report chain in the update program System -> Surface -> .
Remarks on the Input Fields
This paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating these basic data
Just like in almost any other program:
- The input mask may be different in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program depending on the set-up of the application. In some cases some input fields may be missing.
- Some input fields may contain default values or defined selection options; these cannot be updated.
- The input mask contains some fields that require an entry and others in which entries are optional.
- If the data record is updated via multi-page input masks, go to the dialog window by clicking on the appropriate buttons with <Mouse key 1>.
- The same procedure applies to call up another update program from this program.
- In some cases you may find that so-called "Switches" which - depending on the default - can be activated or deactivated with <Mouse key 1>. Activated switches are identified by their dark colour, deactivated switches are lighter-coloured.
Report Chain
Entry range permitted: alphanumeric, max. 20 pos.
Enter the name of the report chain of which you would like to update the macros. If you do not know the name, you can select the data record via the Search Function.
Note:
You can select only report chains for which the option Workflow is activated in the
update program System -> Surface -> Application -> Report Chain.
Position No.
Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 9999
Enter the number of the position of the macro within this report chain.
Appl.Name
Entry range permitted: alphanumeric, max. 20 chars..
This field displays the intern name of the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application. Use the search function to open a window that lists all applications stored in the system and their names for selection.
Interactive
Switch activated:.The execution of the
macro in this report chain will not
be carried out automatically.
Switch deactivated: The execution
of the macro in this report chain will be carried out automatically.
Macro Name
Entry range permitted: alphanumeric, max. 32 pos.
This field displays the name of the macro that has been assigned to this report chain via the selection button.
Note:
You can delete macros from a report chain by highlighting
the macro name in the table and clicking on Delete.
