Chapter 60: Working with Retail Brands (WRBD)

Purpose: Use this menu option to create, change, delete, or display retail brand (retail division) information used by the CWCollaborate Interface or the Locate Supplier Direct Fulfillment Interface for internet-based drop ship processing.

Use of retail brands in CWCollaborate: Retail brands and descriptions are passed to CWCollaborate each time purchase orders are sent. Retail brand appears on CWCollaborate screens as Retail division. On many CWCollaborate screens you can select a retail division to restrict the display of information to the selected division. You can also specify a logo, pack slip messages, and a stationery type for a retail division’s packing slips, and you can specify separate email addresses for each retail division, which CWCollaborate uses when sending notification emails. Additionally, you can set parameters for the display of Overview screens for each retail division in CWCollaborate.

Use of retail brands in Locate: The retail brand is passed to Locate for each purchase order. Retail brand appears on Locate screens as Brand. The vendor can restrict the display of information on Vendor Portal screens by brand and generate pack slips separately for each brand. You can specify brand-specific logo and pack slip messages for a retail division’s packing slips.

The retail brand associated with the source code on the order header is associated with each purchase order passed to CWCollaborate or Locate. See Retail Brands/Retail Divisions.

Required setup for CWCollaborate or Locate: In order to use CWCollaborate or Locate, you must set up one or more retail brands and associate each retail brand with at least one entity in CWDirect; however, several entities (in one or more companies) could share the same retail brand. The source code on the CWCollaborate or Locate drop ship order must point to a division associated with one of the entities for which you have defined a retail brand. See Accounts Payable Chapter 1: Working with Entities (WENT) for more information.

Note: A retail brand is not necessarily associated with a single company; one company can have several retail brands, or several companies could share the same retail brand; however, the Retailer ID used by the CWCollaborate Interface is specific to a company, and is necessary to identify most files used by CWCollaborate. Retailer ID is defined for each company in CWCollaborate and then entered in the Retailer ID field on the Drop Ship Integration Values Screen (H20) in CWDirect.
