Chapter 17: Printing the Tax Jurisdiction Report (PTXJ)

Purpose: Run the Tax Jurisdiction Report as part of your monthly periodic process to identify the dollars collected and credited for each tax jurisdiction during an accounting period.

This report uses information defined in the Tax Jurisdiction file, which defines the postal code ranges for an area in which a special tax structure exists. For example, certain counties in New York and New Jersey have special tax jurisdictions. Different tax rates apply for these areas, rather than the usual tax rate for the postal code or SCF (geographic region covering the first 3 positions of the postal code). See Chapter 40: Working with Tax Jurisdiction (WTXJ) in the Fulfillment manual for more information.

Running this report: You can add this report to your monthly periodic process, or you can run it at any time by typing PTXJ in the Fast path field at the top of any menu or by selecting the Print Tax Jurisdiction report option from a menu.
