Chapter 128: Transmitting Stored Value Card Transactions (SSVC)

Purpose: Use this menu option to process stored value card download triggers and generate stored value card XML messages to send to the service bureau for processing.

System control value: The Use Stored Value Card Batch Processing (I50) system control value controls whether stored value card activation and stored value card authorization reversal transactions are processed immediately or in batch.

• If this system control value is set to Y, the system does not process stored value card trigger records until you submit the batch process using this menu option or a periodic function.

• Periodic function SVCACT (program name PFR0076) processes stored value card activation trigger records.

• Periodic function SVCREV (program name PFR0077) processes stored value card authorization reversal trigger records.

• If this system control value is set to N, the SVC Activation and SVC Reversal jobs monitor for stored value card download trigger records to process at defined intervals, based on the value defined in the Outbound delay time field.

Note: Immediate processing of stored value card activation and authorization reversal transactions is currently not implemented at this time with the CWIntegrate CWDirect/Paymentech integration; see the CWIntegrate CWDirect/Paymentech integration reference for additional information.

Transmit SVC Transactions Screen

Use this screen to submit a batch job to process stored value card download triggers and generate stored value card XML messages to send to the service bureau for processing.

You can select to process stored value card activations or stored value card authorization reversals from this screen.

• If you select to process stored value card activations, the system creates one batch transaction, with a separate detail message for each activation.

• If you select to process stored value card authorization reversals, the system creates one batch transaction, with a separate detail message for each authorization reversal.

How to display this screen: Enter SSVC in the Fast path field or select Transmit Stored Value Card Transactions from a menu.

Field	Description
Activations	Indicates if the submitted batch job processes stored value card activation download triggers. Valid values: Y = The submitted batch job processes stored value card activation download triggers. N = The submitted batch job does not process stored value card activation download triggers. Stored value card activation download triggers are identified by: • File code: SVC. • Key: identifies the specific company, order number, ship to number, order detail sequence number, and stored value card sequence number associated with the SVC download trigger. For example, the Key 555000066760010000100004 indicates the stored value card information is located in company 555 for order number 6676, ship to number 1, order detail sequence number 1, and stored value card number 4. Reversals	Indicates if the submitted batch job processes stored value card authorization reversal download triggers. Valid values: Y = The submitted batch job processes stored value card authorization reversal download triggers. N = The submitted batch job does not process stored value card authorization reversal download triggers. Stored value card authorization reversal download triggers are identified by: • File code: AHR. • Key: identifies the specific company, order number, order payment method sequence number, authorization sequence number, and authorization reversal sequence number in the SVC Authorization Reversal file. For example, the Key 55500006794001001001 indicates the authorization reversal information is located in company 555 for order number 6794, order payment method sequence number 001, authorization sequence number 001, and authorization reversal sequence number 001.
