Working with Store Promotion Types (WSPT)
Purpose: Use Work with Store Promotion Types to set up and maintain retail store promotion types, or to print a list of store promotion types.
About store promotion types: Each promotion you set up must be assigned to a type. Types can be used to group promotions for informational purposes. You can define promotion types in any way you wish, for example, Flyertype promotion, or In-store promotion.
About Min/Max only promotion types: Optionally, you can designate a promotion type as Min/Max only; this type of promotion will not offer special promotion prices, and pricing information will not display on the Store Promotion screens. You might use a Min/Max only type promotion for restocking a group of stores with seasonal items, for example. In this case you would use promotional Min/Max inventory overrides that remain in effect for the dates you specify when you set up the promotion. Stores that you want to restock can be assigned to ranks, and you can specify Min/Max restocking quantities for each rank. See Working with Store Ranks (WSTR) for more information on assigning a rank to one or more stores, and Working with Retail Store Restock (WRSR) for more information on restocking for a promotion.

Min/Max only |
Identifies wheter a promotion type as Min/Max only. A Min/Max only promotion type does not offer special promotional prices, and the Price fields will not display on the Store Promotion Detail Screen in Create Mode, Change mode, and Display mode. Also, the pricing start and end dates will not display on the Change Store Promotion Screen or Display Store Promotion Screen. Min/Max only type promotions are used for restocking a group of stores using Min/Max overrides which will remain in effect for the dates specified when you create or change a store promotion. You can specify different Min/Max override quantities for stores of different ranks, using the Work with Store Promotion Detail Screen. See Working with Store Ranks (WSTR) for more information on assigning a rank to one or more stores, and Working with Retail Store Restock (WRSR) for more information on restocking for a promotion. |

Change a store promotion type |
Select Change for a promotion type to advance to the Change Store Promotion Type Screen. At this screen, you can change the description of the promotion type and the Min/Max only designation. See the Create Store Promotion Type Screen for field descriptions. |
Delete a store promotion type |
Select Delete for a promotion type to delete it. |
Display a store promotion type |
Select Display for a promotion type to advance to the Display Store Promotion Type Screen. You cannot change any information at this screen. See the Create Store Promotion Type Screen for field descriptions. |

Purpose: Use this screen to create a store promotion type.
How to display this screen: Select Create at the Work With Store Promotion Types Screen.
