Node Count Dashboard

The Node Count dashboard enables you to view the current and historical node and record count in Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Data Management, including trend analysis over configurable time periods.

Terminology

  • Nodes: A count of total nodes across all applications for all users.
  • Records: A count of unique nodes across all applications for all users. When you set up a subscription for Cloud EDM, you purchase a set number of records.

For information on how unique nodes are calculated, see Viewing the Record Count and Record Count Log Report.

Considerations

  • You do not need specific permissions to view the Node Count dashboard.
  • The dashboard displays current information for committed data. It does not display node information from incomplete requests.
  • Historical data for the dashboard is aggregated on a weekly basis, while data for the node and record count is aggregated daily. Therefore, data that is displayed on the dashboard is as of one of two dates:
    • Node Count tab and Node Count Distribution chart: Data is aggregated daily
    • Weekly Trend chart: Data is aggregated weekly, on a Sunday

The timestamp of the most recent daily update is displayed under the dashboard title.

Filter Bar

You can filter the node and record count charts by using the Data Chain filter. You can select a maximum of 15 items in a single drop down list.

  • Application: Select one or more applications to view the node and record count for those applications.
  • Dimension: Select one or more dimensions to view the node and record count for those dimensions. This is available only if a single application is selected.
  • Node Type: Select one or more node types to view the node and record count for those node types. This is available only if a single dimension is selected.

Node Count Tab

The Node Count tab displays the current total node and record counts as determined by your filter settings.

Weekly Node Count Trend

Weekly Node Count Trend chart showing node count and record count over time with configurable time frame and grouping.

The Weekly Node Count Trend chart displays historical node count and record count by time period based on your filter settings. The chart caption displays the currently selected Time Frame and Grouping settings. For example: Last 36 Weeks (Weekly)

Two data series are displayed in the chart:

  • Node Count: The total number of nodes.
  • Record Count: The total number of unique records.

Use the chart settings to configure the displayed time frame and grouping:

  • Use the Time Frame setting to select the period displayed in the chart:

    • Last 6 Weeks
    • Last 12 Weeks
    • Last 24 Weeks
    • Last 36 Weeks
    • Last 52 Weeks
    • All
  • Use the Grouping setting to control how frequently data points are displayed in the chart:

    • Weekly
    • Every 2 Weeks
    • Every 4 Weeks
    • Every 6 Weeks
    • Every 12 Weeks

    Tip:

Selecting a grouping other than Weekly reduces the number of displayed data points by showing values at the selected interval. This can make charts with longer time frames easier to read.

The data elements in the chart cannot be drilled across or applied to the current filter.

Node Count Distribution by (Application, Dimension, Node Type)

Node Count Distribution chart showing node count by application

The Node Count Distribution chart displays the total node count by application, dimension, or node type, based on your filter settings. The chart grouping is based on your filter. Hover over each data element to view the node and record count for that element.

The data elements in the chart cannot be drilled across. However, you can right-click a data element to apply that element to your filter.
