Scheduling Split-Run Campaign Launches
To begin a split-run campaign launch, click Actions on the side navigation bar, and select Launch Split Run Campaign (Not seeing this choice? Refer to the Side navigation bar changes topic.), then follow the steps in the wizard.

To launch a split-run immediately:
- Select Immediately and click Next.
- On the Summary page, click Schedule.
To launch a split-run once in the future:
- Select Once.
- Type the date for the launch or click
to select a date from a calendar.
- Select a time for the launch.
- Click Next.
- On the Summary page, click Schedule.
The split-run is scheduled and a confirmation page opens.
To launch a split-run on a recurring schedule:
- Select Recurring Split Launch.
- Select the interval: Hourly, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
- Select other options for the interval.
For example every three hours, every Wednesday, or on a specific day of each month.
- Select a time for the launch.
- Optionally, change the Start date.
- To end the split-run on a specific date, clear the No end date checkbox and select an End date.
If you do not specify an end date, the split-run will run indefinitely.
- Click Next
- On the Summary page, click Schedule.
The split-run is scheduled and a confirmation page opens.

Optionally, you can send test messages to specified recipients before sending to your list.
- Select the Send all campaign messages to the following addresses for testing purposes checkbox, and specify the email addresses in the field below the checkbox. Separate multiple addresses with a comma.
- In Limit launch count to how many records?, specify the number of test messages to send.

Optionally, you can send progress notifications to one or more email addresses.
To send all campaign messages:
- Select the Send progress alerts for each campaign to the following addresses checkbox, and specify the email addresses in the field below the checkbox. Separate multiple addresses with a comma.
- Select the frequency for the notifications from the When? list.
To send notifications of failed launches:
Failed launch notifications will include the fail reason.
- Select the If launch fails who do you want to notify by email? checkbox, and specify the email addresses in the field next to the checkbox. Separate multiple addresses with a comma.
To send notifications for skipped launches:
he skipped notification will include the skip reason.
- Select the Who do you want to send skipped launch notification(s) to? checkbox, and specify the email addresses in the field next to the checkbox. Separate multiple addresses with a comma.

If your account is set up with launch throttling, you can set the maximum number of messages that can be sent each hour. This setting overrides the default launch throttle rate, if it is set.
- Select the Limit launch rate to how many messages per hour? checkbox, and specify the number in the field next to the checkbox.

Click
Insight, and select Live Report. Select the individual campaigns that were included in the split run, and proceed as with any campaign(s).

The launch of a scheduled split-run campaign will fail unless all campaigns meet the following requirements:
- Each split-run launch must include at least two error-free campaigns.
- All selected campaigns must share the same list, as well as any other associated data sources (supplemental data sources, suppression lists, etc.).
- All selected campaigns must have identical email
domains to which campaign messages should not be sent.
Tip: You specify domain exclusions when selecting target contacts for the campaign.
In addition, the launch will fail if:
- A selected campaign is edited in such a way that any of the requirements listed above are no longer met.
- One or more campaigns in your selection is deleted or closed.
