Viewing or Modifying Project Summaries

Note:

The functionality described in this help topic is available only if the Project Summary feature is enabled for your account, and if your role permits to view or edit project summaries.

You can create and save multiple summaries for the same project throughout the project lifecycle. Each project record includes a Project Summary tab showing the list of project summaries for that project.

You can view the list of summaries for all the project you have access to (Projects > Project summaries) or for a specific project (Projects > Projects > [Select a project] > Project summary).

Depending on your role:

To view or modify a project summary:

  1. Go to Projects > Projects > [Select a project] > Project Summary.

    Note:

The last summary created for the project is the only summary in the list with the edit icon Edit icon under the Actions column.

You can only edit the last summary created for a project. Previous project summaries for the same project are always read-only.

  2. Click the title of the summary you want to view.

The Project summary panel shows the selected project summary.

You can copy the project summary to the clipboard. You can then paste it anywhere in SuiteProjects Pro or another application. To do so, click the copy to clipboard icon Copy to clipboard icon.

If you can edit the project summary, you can make changes to the existing summary or generate a new summary and replace the existing content. See Creating a Project Summary for more information.

    Important:

Always read the generated content carefully and validate for accuracy, quality, and appropriateness before you save or share AI-generated summaries. Generative AI services, such as the Project Summary feature, use creativity in their responses. A person should always validate the generated content for accuracy and quality.

The quality of generated summaries depends on the accuracy and completeness of your project data. Incomplete or outdated data may produce unreliable summaries.

  3. When you're done editing, click Save summary to save your changes.

Alternatively, click Cancel, the close icon Close icon, or anywhere outside the Project summary panel to close it. A message appears. Click Close drawer to discard your changes, revert to the previously saved version of the summary, and close the Project summary panel.
