Sharing your Project Summary as a News Feed Status Update

Note:

The functionality described in this help topic is available only if the Project Summary and Project Status News Feed features are enabled for your account, and if your role permits to view project summaries and edit news feeds.

After you create and save a project summary, you can share it as a status update in the project news feed.

When you share your project summary as a news feed status update, SuiteProjects Pro adds a status update to the project news feed with the following information:

The added status update is a snapshot of the project summary as it appears in the project summary panel at the time of sharing. It includes any unsaved changes you made to the project summary. If you later discard these changes or make further changes to your project summary, the news feed status update will not be updated automatically. You will need to do one of the following:

Important:

Always read the generated content carefully and validate for accuracy, quality, and appropriateness before you save or share AI-generated summaries. Generative AI services, such as the Project Summary feature, use creativity in their responses. A person should always validate the generated content for accuracy and quality.

Anybody who can view the news feed will be able to see the information in the summary from the news feed status update.

To share your summary as a news feed status update:

  1. In the project summary panel, click the more options icon More options icon under the summary content and select Add news feed status update icon Add news feed status update.

    A message appears.

  2. Click Add status update to confirm. Anybody who can view the news feed will be able to see the information in the summary from the news feed status update.

A confirmation message appears. The message includes a link to go to the project news feed.

Alternatively, you can click Cancel to return to the project summary panel without adding the news feed status update.

  3. (Optional) Click View news feed in the confirmation message to close the project summary panel and open the news feed panel. You can then edit the status update and set the Status field, for example.

If you have any unsaved changes in your project summary, a message appears. Do one of the following:

    • Click Save and close to save your changes, close the project summary panel, and open the news feed panel.

    • Click Discard and close to discard your changes to the project summary, close the project summary panel, and open the news feed panel. A copy of the project summary with your unsaved changes is available in the status update you added to the project news feed.

    • Click Keep editing to cancel and return to the project summary panel.
