Setting Up Certification Service Operations for Brazil

Certification service operations are child records under each tax authority certification service record. These records store information such as the e-document template and digital signature tags that tax authorities require to perform operations.

Operations include sending, cancelling, and updating e-documents. For more information, see Creating Certification Service Operations.

The Brazil Certification Tax Authorities SuiteApp provides predefined certification service operations records for several operation types.

You must associate e-document templates with the relevant certification service operations. For example, if you certify electronic invoices for services with the city of São Paulo, set up the sending, cancelling, and viewing operations in the São Paulo (SP) Tax Authority record.

Important:

Before setting up certification service operations, ensure you've created e-document template records in your account. You can use the predefined templates provided by Brazil Certification Tax Authorities to create the e-document template records. For more information, see Predefined E-Document Template Files for Brazil.

For specific operation types and tax authorities, the SuiteApp also provides PDF templates and e-document XSD validation. For more information, see the following help topics:

To set up a certification service operation for Brazil:

  1. Go to Setup > E-Document Certification > Tax Authority Certification Service.

  2. Next to the tax authority that certifies your e-documents, click View.

    For more information about the predefined tax authorities provided by the SuiteApp, see Predefined Records and E-Document Templates.

  3. Click the Operations subtab.

  4. In the subtab, next to the certification service operation you want to set up, click Edit.

    The certification service operation record opens.

  5. In the E-Document Template field, select an e-document template to associate with the operation.

  6. To generate PDF versions of your e-documents, in the PDF Template field, select a template.

    Brazil Certification Tax Authorities provides predefined PDF templates for several types of e-documents. For more information, see Predefined PDF Templates for Brazil.

  7. To enable e-document validation, check the Enable the XSD Validation box.

    Brazil Certification Tax Authorities provides e-document validation for sending operations for specific tax authorities. For more information, see Predefined E-Document Validation Files for Brazil.

  8. Click Save.
