Setting the Subsidiary Classification for Manufacturing for Brazil

If you generate EFD ICMS IPI files and your subsidiary manufactures goods or is comparable to a manufacturer, you need to identify the subsidiary as a manufacturer.
To set a subsidiary as a manufacturer or comparable to a manufacturer:

Go to Setup > Company > Classifications > Subsidiaries.

Next to the subsidiary you want, click Edit.

Check the Manufacturer or Comparable to Manufacturer box.

In the Classification of the Manufacturer field, select the subsidiary classification according with the Sistema Público de Escrituração Digital (SPED).

Click Save.
