Sales Return Accounting Overview

The Sales Return Accounting (SRA) SuiteApp enables you to track sales returns separately in the mapped sales returns account. You can map a sales return account for a unique combination of subsidiary, sales account, and accounting book. When a sales return is processed, the SuiteApp creates a General Ledger (G/L) debit entry in the mapped sales returns account and a G/L credit entry in the sales account for the sales amount.

The following are the features of the SuiteApp. The SuiteApp enables you to:

• Map a sales return account for a unique combination of subsidiary, sales account, and accounting book.

• Configure transaction types, subsidiaries, and accounting books in Sales Return Accounting Custom GL Plugin.

• Create new G/L entries for sales return transactions in the mapped sales return account.

Sales Return Accounting Availability

Sales Return Accounting SuiteApp is available for US editions and OneWorld accounts. The SuiteApp is a managed bundle and is automatically updated whenever there are improvements or new features added.

Sales Return Accounting Limitations

For credit memo and cash refund transactions, the Sales Return Accounting SuiteApp supports:

• 250 line items when the Full Multi-Book Accounting feature is enabled.

• 1,000 line items when the Full Multi-Book Accounting feature is disabled.
