Tool Name	ns_getIdFromPath
Tool Description	Resolves a File Cabinet file or folder path to its internal ID. The tool doesn't read file contents. Numeric file and folder names are treated as names, not internal IDs. For the File Cabinet root (/), specify folder as the kind. The tool returns null for the root's ID. If more than one file or folder matches the path, the tool returns an error instead of selecting a match.

Properties

The following table lists the tool's properties.

Property	Type	Required or Optional	Description
path	string	Required	Specifies the File Cabinet file or folder path. The leading slash is optional. For a file path, include the folder and file name. Only folder paths can end in a slash. Use / only when kind is folder.
kind	string	Required	The type of File Cabinet item. Accepted values are: file folder File and folder internal IDs are separate.

Permissions

Your ability to resolve a path depends on your NetSuite role's file and folder permissions.
