Tool Name	ns_detachFile
Tool Description	Removes a file's attachment to a NetSuite record without deleting the file from the File Cabinet. The tool doesn't read the file's contents.

Properties

The following table lists the tool's properties.

Property	Type	Required or Optional	Description
path	string	Required	The file's complete File Cabinet path, including its folder and file name, for example /Images/myImageFile.jpg. The leading slash is optional. Specify a File Cabinet path, not a web address or internal ID.
recordType	string	Required	The NetSuite record type, such as customer, salesorder, or a custom record type's script ID.
recordId	string	Required	The record's internal ID as a string.

Permissions

Your ability to detach a file depends on your NetSuite role's file, folder, and record permissions.
