Ask Oracle Skills
Skills help Ask Oracle respond in a more focused, business-aware way for common NetSuite tasks. Instead of re-explaining context every time you use Ask Oracle, you can use a skill to guide how Ask Oracle analyzes your question and presents results. For example, if you ask which vendor bills to pay first, a payment prioritization skill can return a ranked recommendation with clear reasoning, instead of a generic payables summary.
You can think of a skill as reusable guidance for a repeatable business question. Skills are especially useful when you want consistent output, such as close-readiness checks, overdue accounts receivable (AR) analysis, liquidity reviews, or executive sales briefings. This approach helps teams move faster, compare results more reliably, and spend less time rewriting prompts.
Skills can also improve end-to-end workflows. For example, in an accounts payable (AP) context, skills can help teams prioritize payments, apply vendor credits, and identify process bottlenecks in bill handling. In an AR context, skills can surface overdue exposure and support collections targeting. During period close, they can highlight blockers and direct attention to the highest-risk items first.
The help topics in this section describe skills you can use through Ask Oracle. NetSuite also provides SuiteCloud Agent Skills, which is a collection of platform-agnostic skills designed for third-party coding assistants (such as Codex, Claude Code, and Cline).
