ns_getRecordActionMetadata

Tool Description

Returns metadata for actions available for a NetSuite record type. When you provide a record's internal ID, the tool returns only actions that are currently available for that record. The response indicates whether the tool succeeded. A successful response includes an actions list. Each action includes its ID, label, description, record type, and parameter metadata. If no actions are available, the actions list is empty. For information about supported record actions, see Supported Record Actions.

recordId	string	Optional	The internal ID of a record. When provided, the tool returns only actions currently eligible for that record.
actionId	string	Optional	The ID of a specific action to inspect.

Permissions

There are no specific permission requirements to see this tool in the AI client. The actions that the tool returns depend on the permissions assigned to your NetSuite role and the target record's current state.
