ns_executeRecordAction

Tool Description

Executes an action for a specific NetSuite record. Before execution, verify that the action is available for the record. You can use ns_getRecordActionMetadata to verify availability. The response indicates whether the tool succeeded. Successful responses include the action response and any NetSuite notifications. Failed responses include an error code when available. A failed response may also include an action response and notifications returned by NetSuite. Review the notifications for warnings or errors about the action. After execution, verify that the record changed as expected.

recordId	string	Required	The internal ID of the target record.
actionId	string	Required	The ID of the action to execute.
actionParameters	string	Optional	An action-specific JSON object encoded as a string. Required parameters vary by action. The object cannot override the record specified by recordId.

There are no specific permission requirements to see this tool in the AI client. You can execute an action only if your NetSuite role has the required permissions and the action is available for the target record.
