Adding Employees to a Regular Template Shift

When you are creating or managing your shift templates, you can add shift notes/comments to each shift, as well as select certain employees to be available for selection for each shift:

  1. Adds a comment to the corresponding template shift

  2. This will show a selection box of available employees – you can select certain employees to appear for selection for that shift.

Shift Notes

The shift notes will appear each week when you add an employee from the template. This will be a recurring note which appears, and you can change this each week if need be. This note can be a recurring reminder for that shift, for example.

Employee Selection

Situations you may want to do this are if you have certain employees (e.g. full time employees) which usually work certain shifts however any of them could work these certain shifts, these shifts are set however the employee can change each week and you must schedule a full time employee on this shift.

You may also have a certain employee which has a regular occurring shift each week - you can assign only this employee to the shift; so when you fill the template they will be the only employee appearing to work it. Simply click 'All employees' on the template shift to select:

Once you have selected the employees you can close out of this: the template setup page will tell you how many employees are available for each template shift:
