This workbook is based on the SuiteAnalytics dataset and analyzes recurring revenue from subscriptions by customer, subscription, billing account, item, and other options.

Upcoming Renewals

Upcoming means occurring in the near future. Renewals refers to subscriptions that will expire soon. The customer needs to renew the subscription by extending it or creating a new renewal subscription to maintain revenue.

Recurring Revenue refers to subscription revenue coming in at regular intervals. Sources refers to subscription items that generate the revenue.

This block chart shows the relative size of revenue sources for the 10 highest revenue-generating items during the most recent month.

This table displays monthly recurring revenue separated according to revenue source:

  • existing recurring revenue

  • upsells

  • downsells

  • churn

Also included is the new recurring revenue sum at month end.

Monthly Recurring Revenue by Class

Class refers to segments that you can create to track records such as product lines or region. For example, you own a janitorial service and you want to track income and expenses separately for household and commercial accounts. You set up a class for each account type and track the financial performance of each class over any time period.
