Chart of Accounts Mapping to Norway Standard Accounts

The mapping of the Chart of Accounts must be based on the standard account mapping or on the income statement mapping. The mapping must be done based on any the following categories, whichever is applicable to the company.

Note:

Non-posting and statistical account type accounts are not validated for missing account numbers as they are not exported and used in the SAF-T report. This means that you don’t need to map these accounts to successfully generate the report. For more information about these account types, see Non-Posting Account Registers and Using Statistical Accounts.

Note:

Businesses with an existing Chart of Accounts that are similar to the 4-digit Standard Accounts should use this. However, businesses with an existing Chart of Accounts that deviate significantly from the Standard Accounts should use the 2-digit Standard Accounts. Income statement mapping category should be used for specific types of businesses.

The Account Files Field Mapping page supports the following account and tax codes mapping categories for the Norway SAF-T Financial report:

For information about tax codes mapping, see Tax Codes Mapping to Norway Standard Tax Codes.

Important:

You must map your Chart of Accounts before using the Norway Tax Reports SuiteApp. Accounts that don't have a mapping will be left out during the generation and will be missing in the resulting audit file.
