Configure a Blog Spotlight

Use SMT to customize your blog spotlight. You can set the spotlight heading, choose the alignment for the article cards, and determine the number of article cards to include.

In addition, you can determine which type of posts appear in the spotlight by using either the filter fields or search feature. If you use the search feature, then the filter fields (Category, Author, Tags, and Additional Sections) are ignored.

Note:

If you set multiple filter fields, blog posts are only included if they satisfy all requirements. For example, if you set the Category to Interior Design and the Author to Bob Smith, only posts that were written by Bob Smith and set to the Interior Design category qualify for the spotlight. If a post was written by Bob Smith but set to the Architecture category, then the post is not included.

To configure a blog spotlight:

  1. While logged in to SMT, navigate to the page that contains the blog spotlight content.

  2. In the Blog Spotlight box, click Edit.

This displays the Blog Spotlight Settings in the side panel.

  3. In the Blog Spotlight Settings window, set the listed fields, using the following tables for reference.

The General tab of Blog Spotlight Settings includes the following standard fields: Name, Visibility, and Tags. For more information on these fields, see Landing Pages.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Review and publish the changes.

For more information, see Review and Publish Your Site.
