Prerequisites for Store Pickup

Complete the following tasks before you set up the Store Pickup feature on your Commerce website:

Complete Order Management Tasks for Store Pickup

SuiteCommerce and SuiteCommerce Advanced websites integrate with NetSuite’s Order Management feature to provide the complete Store Pickup feature.

To complete the Order Management tasks required to set up Store Pickup, follow the steps outlined in the help topic Setting Up Store Pickup.

Set Up Automation in Advanced Order Management

Important:

Configure Advanced Order Management settings on your NetSuite account before setting up the Store Pickup feature on your Commerce website.

Advanced Order Management lets you set up automation as needed for your company. Enabling Run Automation is optional but considered a best practice.

Enabling Run Automation automates a business event workflow in NetSuite. When business events occur on a sales order, NetSuite runs the corresponding automation processes according to your Advanced Order Management settings. See Order Fulfillment Automation for more information.

Note:

Order fulfillment automation is subject to usage fees if you create more than 5,000 automated sales orders in a year. See the Order Management help topic Automation Capacity and Usage Fees.

To set up automation:

  1. Go to Setup > Order Management > Setup Tasks > Advanced Order Management.

  2. Go to the Automation tab and the Pickup Orders subtab.

  3. Check the Run Automation box.

  4. In the Fulfillment Request Creation area, select one or both of the following options to specify when you want fulfillment requests to be created:

    • Sales Order Approved – Automatically creates a fulfillment request when a store pickup sales order is approved, provided there is no payment hold on the sales order.

    • Payment Hold Released - Automatically creates a fulfillment request for store pickup sales orders when a payment hold is released on the sales order, provided the sales order is approved.

  5. Click Save.

Set Up Store Locator

The Store Locator feature lets your customers find physical store locations by searching your NetSuite account’s location records and returning results within proximity of the customer’s location or any specified address.
