Setting Up a Partner for Commission

Before a partner can earn commission, you must mark the partner as eligible.

To mark a partner eligible for commission, open the partner record. Click the Financial subtab, and check the Eligible for Commission box. Click Save.

When you create a new partner record and mark that partner eligible for commission, NetSuite creates a vendor record for the partner. These records are linked so that when you make changes to one record, NetSuite updates both records. Keeping both records linked enables you to write a commission check to the partner.

Note:

If there is already a vendor record associated with the partner record, NetSuite does not create an additional vendor record.
