Change Order Type-Specific Revenue Impacts
Different types of subscription change orders have these key differences:
-
Activation and Reactivation change orders start revenue generation, and serve as the base element for reporting structures. Each line in the change order creates a revenue element that starts on the change order effective date and ends on the subscription end date.
-
In a Modify Pricing change order, a single line change could create multiple revenue elements for one revision. This happens when the line goes through future change orders such as quantity or price modifications. The start and end dates are determined by the number of scheduled future change orders.
-
Suspend and Termination change orders reverse all revenue beyond the effective date. Each modify, extend, or activation change order generates a revenue element.
-
Renew–Extend change orders create a revenue element for each active subscription line on the extension's start date. The entry date is the effective date for Renew–Extend change orders.
